I was born in central Michigan and lived there for the 21 years.  After years of desiring to live in a warmer climate I packed my bags and headed to Florida.  Fortunately, I had enough sense to finish my degree and find work.  I graduated with a degree in Business Management, although I was always interested in art.   

I met my husband Jonathan in Orlando. After finishing college, he also had migrated south in search of warmer weather.  We both enjoyed Florida for all of the year round activities that it offered.  We were blessed with  two beautiful boys, Jay and Andrew. Eventually we were able to purchase a second home on Longboat Key and have spent lots of time there over the past 13 years. 

The beauty of Florida and its beaches are what motivated me to start painting again.  I love the tropical landscapes, the wildlife, the intricacies of the palm trees and flowers.  To me they represent what Florida is all about.  These are things that bring me peace and serenity, and I try to convey that in my artwork.
